CARIMAC hosted its second annual business luncheon for final-year students on February 4. Almost ninety students from the undergraduate and diploma programmes attended. This year's guest speaker was Yvonne Gittens Joseph, High Commissioner for the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago who spoke about the opportunities within the CSME for young people and media practitioners.
At the luncheon, the top performing student from each specialisation was also honoured. The honourees are: Anika Richards (Print and Online Journalism), Shaneil Taylor (Social Marketing), Gennil Reuben (Television), Sheroma Hodge (Multimedia), Jacqueline Brown (Public Relations) and Elon Parkinson (Radio).
The final-year business luncheon is one of many initiatives that expose CARIMAC students to the professional world and professional etiquette.
